After Reading The Exception, Hasto Asked PDIP Cadres To Be Loyal To Megawati

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the PDI-P (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto asked all cadres from the party bearing the bull logo to remain loyal to Megawati Soekarnoputri.

He made this statement during the trial break after reading the memorandum of objection or plea in the alleged bribery case of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR and the obstruction of the investigation.

"I would like to thank my press colleagues and all the grassroots of the party, the branches, PAC branches, the DPC. Stay calm, continue to be enthusiastic, and give the highest support and loyalty to our General Chair, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, in serving the nation and state and carrying out her international duties," said Hasto at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Friday, March 21.

In addition to asking cadres to remain loyal to the general chairman of the PDIP, Hasto in his statement also mentioned the exception that was written on his own. This is said to show the spirit of fighting for justice.

"I myself wrote, I am writing my hand in the detention house. There are 27 sheets that when translated into this book into 20 sheets, this shows a spirit that works to uphold justice and in an ideological and historical perspective," said Hasto.

Hasto was charged with obstructing or obstructing the investigation of the corruption case that dragged Harun Masiku as a suspect in the 2019-2024 period.

Hasto allegedly obstructed the investigation by ordering Harun, through the Aspiration House guard, Nur Hasan, to submerge Harun's cell phone into the water after the arrests by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against members of the General Election Commission (KPU) for the 2017-2022 period, Wahyu Setiawan.

Not only Harun Masiku's cellphone, Hasto is also said to have ordered his aide, Kusnadi, to drown his cell phone in anticipation of forced attempts by KPK investigators.

In addition to obstructing investigations, Hasto was also charged together with advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah; the former convict of the Harun Masiku case, Saeful Bahri; and Harun Masiku gave money amounting to 57,350 Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp600 million to Wahyu in the 2019-2020 period.

The money is allegedly given with the aim that Wahyu strives for the KPU to approve the request for an interim replacement (PAW) for the Elected Legislative Candidate for the Electoral Region (Dapil) of South Sumatra (Sumsel) I on behalf of the Members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period Riezky Aprilia to Harun Masiku.

Thus, Hasto is threatened with a crime as regulated in Article 21 and Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 65 Paragraph (1) and Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1 jo. Article 64 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
