JAKARTA - Two talented young actors, Junior Roberts and Jerome Kurnia, were cast as the main cast in the series A Little White Lie. Both admitted that they had a different challenge from their previous roles in this collaboration project between MAXStreamTV and Unlimited Pictures.
Junior Roberts who plays the role of Bintang, revealed that he had to enter this project with a very short preparation.
"Actually, from the beginning, I was really nervous because in this title, I only entered H-min for a few days," said Junior Roberts in Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 16.
Playing the role of a desirable man or a green flag, Junior admitted that this was a new experience for him.
"Even though I actually rarely get a character like Bintang, a guy who looks greenflag, he just speaks softly, I rarely do that," he explained.
Fortunately for Junior, the positive work environment helped him a lot in exploring his role.
"Fortunately, we were able to shoot everything smoothly, everyone was very happy, it felt like a family, so we felt like we had done our best," he added.
On the other hand, Jerome Kurnia, who plays the character of Adit, feels happy because he can finally realize the script by his favorite writer.
"I'm really happy to be able to play Adit because honestly I've always wanted to play a character written by Cassandra Massardi," said Jerome.
For Jerome, Adit's character has emotional depth that requires a special exploration of gestures.
"Adit's character is also a character that I think is very complex and I am grateful to be trusted because to play it from its gestures and the story is very exciting," he said.
Jerome also praised the performance of the production team who gave him creative space.
"Working with Unlimited is also my first time and hopefully this will be a lot more in the future. They are main partners who are very serious, very good at their art," praised Jerome.
Calista Arum as the character Ocha, also felt the complexity of the character created by the director and writer.
"Ocha is layered, he's not just this, he's not just that. I was digging into his character, he was talking a lot with Mas Sondang," said Calista.
Director Sondang himself felt very helped by the acting quality of the main cast which was very effective on the set.
"The results are immediate. So there aren't too many takes 2, takes 3 or even many takes. At most we have two or three takes," explained Sondang.
A series of other actors who starred in A Little White Lie include Adel Reva, Shania Gracia, Ciccio Manassero, Naura Hakim, Donny Damara, Teuku Rizky, and TJ Ruth. The series itself will begin airing on MAXStreamTV and Netflix on July 22.
