Facing Homecoming Flows In Garut, Police Check Roads, Security Posts To Terminals

JABAR - Police check the readiness of national and provincial routes for travelers from Lebaran 2025 who pass through Garut Regency, West Java (West Java).

Checks to explore whether or not there are shortcomings that need to be considered to maintain the safety and comfort of travelers' vehicles.

"The results of the route check with PUPR districts, provinces, district and provincial Transportation Agencys to deal with Ketupat Operations can be passed," said Head of the Garut Police Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas), Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi in Garut, Wednesday, March 19, confiscated by Antara.

He said his staff had made preparations for security on the homecoming route in the southern region of West Java crossing Limbangan-Malangbong as a national route, then the Bandung-Garut province route across Kadungora-Tarogong.

The results of field checks, he said, the condition of the road is ready to be crossed by motorized vehicles during the Eid Al-Fitr 2025 homecoming season, although at several points there is still a road repair process.

"However, there are several roads that are currently being repaired by district and provincial PUPR," he said.

He mentioned, such as Jalan Anwar Musadadiyah as a tourist route and will also be used as an alternative route to unravel congestion on the main Bandung-Garut route, the Leles-Tarogong region is in the process of being repaired.

The local government, he said, is targeting the repair of Jalan Anwar Musdaddiyah to be completed before Eid al-Fitr so that travelers can safely and comfortably cross the vehicle.

"One of them is on Jalan Anwar Musdaddiyah, God willing, on the 24th (March) it can be used for travelers," he said.

In addition to checking the condition of the homecoming route in the Garut area, the Garut Police also checked the Security Post for preparations for Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2025 such as the GTC Limbangan Integrated Security Post, Kadungora Security Post, and Sigobing Security Post.

The checks include equipment to support traffic flow regulations, then other facilities to provide services to people who want to travel back and forth during Eid al-Fitr 2025.

In addition to checking the post and homecoming lanes, the Garut Police have also checked the readiness of the Guntur Terminal to welcome the surge in homecoming arrivals during Lebaran, and checked buses to ensure they are feasible for operation, as well as checking the health of bus drivers and assistants.
