Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam), Budi Gunawan (BG), requested that TNI personnel suspected of shooting three police officers during the raid on the cockfighting arena on Way Kanan, Lampung, be severely punished.

The two TNI personnel involved in the incident were Peltu LB, who served as Dansubramil Negara Batin, and Kopka BS, a member of Subramil Negara Batin.

"We have conveyed to the Commander and Chief of Police to take firm action. The legal process must be carried out without favoritism and with full transparency. Give the harshest punishment," said Budi Gunawan to reporters at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang City, Tuesday, March 18.

Budi Gunawan explained that the two TNI personnel committed serious violations by shooting three members of the National Police and protecting the cockfighting arena located in Way Kanan, Lampung.

"This act is very despicable. They carried out the shooting using live ammunition which resulted in the death of three members of the National Police from the Polsek or Polres in the area," explained Budi.

"In addition, these individuals also protect crime by having a cockfighting arena that is clearly prohibited criminally in our country," he added.

Budi Gunawan ensured that the solidarity between the TNI and Polri was maintained despite this incident. He emphasized that the two TNI personnel had been processed in Denpom Lampung.

"I make sure that the solidarity between the TNI and Polri is maintained to this day. We will continue to take strengthening steps to maintain a solid synergy and collaboration between the TNI and Polri," he concluded.
