Use Fake Key, Car Thief In Temanggung Arrested

CENTRAL JAVA - Police arrested a car thief on the side of Jalan Kedu-Parakan, in Tegalsari Hamlet, Campursari Village, Bulu, Temanggung Regency.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Temanggung Police, AKP Didik Tri Wibowo, said the suspect with the initials UBU (43), a resident of Grogol Hamlet, Kutoanyar Village, Kedu, Temanggung Regency.

He mentioned evidence, among others, a Daihatsu Zebra car, in 1992, with a metallic blue G-1374-BB Police Number, a fake car key and a pair of dark green boots.

"The perpetrator took and controlled a car unit without the knowledge and permission of the car owner, by damaging and turning it on using a fake key," he said in Temanggung, Tuesday, March 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the victim had the initials MN, a resident of Sewatu, Campursari Village, Bulu, Temanggung Regency.

After receiving the incident report, the Temanggung Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Bulu Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation.

After obtaining sufficient evidence, asking for information from witnesses, and obtaining information on the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator, then securing the alleged perpetrator, he was then taken to the Temanggung Police.

The suspect has sufficient evidence to commit the crime of theft with a weight as referred to in Article 363 of the 5th Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
