JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he agreed with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi who asked Jakarta residents to build villas in the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java.

Pramono also supports Dedi in issuing a ban on adding villa buildings at the top. This was revealed in connection with the large floods that hit the Jabodetabek area a few days ago.

"I am one of those who will provide support to the Governor of West Java to limit villas in Puncak or anywhere that was built recently," Pramono said at the Abdul Muis Technical Service, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 11.

Not only for Jakarta residents, according to Pramono, people from anywhere need to get restrictions on building buildings in water catchment areas, such as Bogor Regency.

"Residents from anywhere must be limited because this can be seen from several floods that occurred, especially the last one yesterday, the rainfall is no longer above Lake Ciawi and Sukamahi, but below," explained Pramono.

"And some of that have become public areas, areas that are used as villas, then lodging, then also restoration and so on," he added.

On the one hand, Pramono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government is not authorized to limit the addition of buildings in the upstream area.

Thus, Pramono admitted that he would disseminate information to Jakarta residents and reminded the high value of land and building taxes (PBB) if Jakarta residents had buildings outside the area.

"For example, if he has this villa, it will be an addition from the new UN. Well, that's what we will apply," said Pramono.

Previously, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi asked Jakarta residents not to set up villas and other buildings in the Puncak area, Bogor.

"The main thing is also residents who live in Jakarta. Don't build villas and the like in Puncak. Why? If now the water is going to Jakarta, then because they are looking for a place to sleep," said Dedi, Thursday, March 6.

Dedi admitted that he would communicate with Pramono Anung as regional head in Jakarta to solve the flood problem from Bogor to Jakarta.

"For that we will also coordinate with the Governor of DKI Jakarta to discuss this. Because West Java is the doorstop for DKI," said Dedi.
