The Ministry of Manpower reported that around 11,025 workers at PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk or Sritex had been laid off since August 2024.

"The number of Sritex Group workers who have been laid off, starting from layoffs from August (2024), actually there are some," Yassierli said in a meeting.
Yassierli explained that PT Sinar Pantja Djaja started layoffs in August 2024 as many as 340 workers. Then it continued in January 2025 where PT Bitratex Industries laid off 1,081 workers.
"In Bitratex Industries, the case is finally workers who ask for layoffs because they ask for certainty," he explained.
Then on February 26, 2025, PT Sritex Sukoharjo and several other companies laid off. The total number of workers who were laid off was 9,604 people.
"With a total of 9 thousand, this is the data we have received regarding the total layoffs since August 2024 in the context of the Sritex Group," he said.
Thus, if combined, the number of workers affected by layoffs from August 2024 to February 2025 will reach 11,025 workers.
