Satpol PP Operation to Raid Boarding Houses in Tangerang Regency Fails

TANGERANG The Tangerang Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) held raids on a number of boarding houses in Suka Asih Village, Pasar Kemis District, on Friday, March 7, 2025. This operation was carried out in response to reports from residents who suspected that there was abuse of boarding houses for practices that violated regional regulations.

"We went directly to follow up on public reports and ensure that boarding houses were not misused," said the Head of the Tangerang Regency Satpol PP, Agus Suryana.

In addition to boarding houses, raids also target several entertainment venues in the Pasar Kemis area to ensure compliance with the Tangerang Regent's Circular Number 2 of 2025 which regulates public order. However, the results of the operation did not find any prostitution practices or other illegal activities.

"Based on the results of monitoring, we found no indication of violations, both in boarding houses and entertainment venues such as Kali Mati and Wisma Mas," said Head of Pasar Kemis Sub-district, Nurhanudin.

However, a number of residents suspected that this raid had been leaked previously, resulting in no results.

"Many already knew before the raid was carried out, so the results were nil. Usually it's crowded, but if it's fasting like this they play cat and mouse," said a local resident, Nina.

The Tangerang Regency Satpol PP ensures that it will continue to carry out routine monitoring to maintain order and ensure that there are no activities that violate regional regulations in business places and boarding houses in the area.
