Dor! Manokwari Attorney General's Office Officials Suspected Of Being Terrorized By Unscrupulous Police

MANOKWARI - The Adhyaksa Corps at the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) in West Papua regretted that the police officers carried out acts of terror and threatened officials at the Manokwari District Prosecutor's Office.

"It is true, an Adhyaksa official within the Manokwari District Attorney's Office was threatened and terrorized by unscrupulous members of the National Police," said the Head of the Legal Information Section or Kasipenkum of the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office Billy Wuisan in Manokwari, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 23.

He said that the verbal threat which led to a shooting terror that occurred in the yard of the Manokwari District Attorney's office had been reported to the professional and security sector (Bid propam) at the local Police.

Wusian explained that the terror against the Manokwari District Attorney's office took place on Thursday, April 22 night in the vicinity of the Adhyaksa official residence on Jalan Gajah Mada Sarinah, West Manokwari.

"It is not certain whether the motive of this individual Police officer came to the residence of Manokwari Kejari officials at night in a state of control of alcohol while calling out the victim's name, then firing one shot," said Wuisan.

He said the Adhyaksa corps of West Papua province urged the National Police to immediately investigate and process individual members according to the institution's internal rules.

"As fellow law enforcement officers, we hope that the actions of these police officers do not tarnish the good name of the institution," said Wuisan.

Meanwhile, the Manokwari Police Chief, AKBP Dadang Kurniawan Winjaya, when confirmed, said he would immediately explore the information.

"Thank you, we will explore the information first," said the Manokwari Police Chief via a short message.
