JAKARTA - The Bangka Police Detective and Criminal Unit, Bangka Belitung Islands Region, arrested four people suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder on behalf of the victim Hendra alias Buel, which occurred Wednesday, April 21 on Jalan Raya Kota Kapur, Mendo Barat District.

Bangka Police Chief AKBP Widi Haryawan said the four perpetrators of the murders were Jeki Subkati, Hendra, Romadi, and Aswadi respectively.

"Apart from the four suspects who have been arrested, there is one perpetrator named Saipul who has been named in the wanted list (DPO)," Widi said in his presentation at Sungailiat, reported by Antara, Friday, April 23.

The murder occurred, said the Police Chief, allegedly due to the influence of alcoholic drinks. It was caused before the incident both the victim and the perpetrator had time to drink wine together.

"The three perpetrators of Romadi, Jeki Subekti and Hendra jointly beat the victim and after about 15 minutes, the other perpetrators Aswadi and Saipul came to help beat up the victim," he explained.

Saipul, said the Police Chief, at that time took a machete from his motorbike and immediately slashed the victim in the right knee, as well as other perpetrators Aswadi also stabbed the victim so that the victim fell on the asphalt road.

To get rid of the traces, the perpetrator tries to divert the murder case with a hit-and-run accident mode. Where the victim was pulled by holding the victim's hand using a motorbike to the side of the road for approximately 25 meters.

"In the disclosure of this case we succeeded in securing evidence in the form of a machete and a wallet. The perpetrators were subject to sanctions under Article 338 of the Criminal Code and Article 170 of the Criminal Code, paragraph two to 3," he said.
