JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially handed over the keys to the residence of Kampung Susun Bayam to the residents of Kampung Bayam Madani whose residences were evicted due to the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
After resolving the housing problem of Kampung Susun Bayam, which was founded by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Pramono admitted that he would arrange the Kalijodo Park inherited from former DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).
"After this, I concentrate on the places left by Pak Ahok. Kalijodo is one of the things that I will finish soon," said Pramono in Kampung Susun Bayam, North Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.
Before Ahok served as Governor of DKI for the 2014-2017 period, Taman Kalijodo was an entertainment area that provided prostitution services to gambling practices.
To eradicate negative activities there, Ahok transformed Kalijodo into a child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA).
In the Ahok era, the Kalijodo RPTRA was built with various facilities such as futsal fields, jogging tracks, skate parks and playgrounds. However, in recent years, Kalijodo has returned to the spotlight because it was neglected.
According to Pramono, Kalijodo was neglected because not many residents used sports facilities there, from skateboarding courts to bicycle lanes.
"It was discovered that the residents there, in Kalijodo, they didn't like skateboarding. Built on skateboards where their children didn't skateboard, most of the bicycles didn't play either," said Pramono.
Therefore, Pramono plans to add mini soccer field facilities or mini Soccer so that activities in Kalijodo Park can be more lively. However, Pramono will also not dismantle the skateboarding field that has been built.
"I'm sure it won't take too long to finish, because apparently Kalijodo was built by CSR, one company, and the company is willing to continue," Pramono explained.

Pramono admitted that there was no problem if he had to perfect the construction and infrastructure of the former Governor of DKI.
For some people, former regional heads definitely want to leave legacy from their ideas or policies during their leadership. This legacy will usually be remembered by the public. However, Pramono admitted that he preferred to put his ego aside.
"One of our weaknesses, what do we do? What I always say is that the ego is too big. That person always thinks for himself who is more prominent than others. In my campaign, I said what was good for Mas Anies, Pak Ahok, Bang Yos, Bang Foke, I continued," he added.
