Long Wait, Residents Finally Receive The Key To Housing Kampung Susun Bayam

JAKARTA - Dozens of families, residents of Kampung Bayam Madani, finally began to receive the key to housing in Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) located next to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

The key handover was carried out by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung and the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno symbolically to representatives of the residents of Kampung Bayam.

"Today, the key has been handed over. Hopefully this will be a good thing for all residents of Kampung Bayam, bringing goodness," said Pramono in Kampung Susun Bayam, North Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.

KSB was founded since the leadership of former DKI Governor Anies Baswedan. When inaugurated in October 2022, Anies promised KSB to become a residence for residents affected by the eviction of JIS development.

However, residents of Kampung Bayam and PT Jakpro as KSB manager did not agree on the rental rate for their residence. Residents want the KSB rental for a flat owned by the DKI Provincial Government. This was not granted by Jakpro.

The dead end continued until the leadership changed by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and Teguh Setyabudi.

During the 2024 Pilkada campaign period, last September, Pramono emphasized that he would immediately solve the problems of the residents of Kampung Bayam and immediately meet the housing needs of KSB if he served as Governor of DKI. Finally, today Pramono officially handed over the keys to housing.

"Congratulations on what happened today. This is monumental for all of us, things that we find difficult, impossible to solve, (now) resolved," said Pramono.

It was recorded that 33 families of former Kampung Bayam residents had filled out a form to get the key to the Kampung Susun Bayam unit. This number will increase along with data collection.

President Director of PT Jakpro Iwan Takwin targets the administrative process to be completed in the near future, so that residents of Kampung Bayam can start living in Kampung Susun Bayam before this year's Eid.

"Maybe our target is the fourth week before Lebaran, they will be able to move here gradually. So, we hope that we can make Eid, they will be in this new residence," explained Iwan.
