The suspects are Gusnayadi (45), Dodi Bastari (40) Arif Kohir (27) Ardiansyah (36) Hartawan (44) and Suhendar (39). One of the perpetrators who was the gang boss, Gusnayadi, was shot in the right calf and was shot for resisting during developments to show the scene of the crime (TKP).

"The modus operandi is that the perpetrator enters the ATM room and pretends to make a transaction and then blocks the ATM card slot using a tool in the form of pieces of plastic mica from used mineral water bottles," said Director of Criminal Investigation of the Bali Police, Kombes Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, Friday, April 23. .

When the victim inserts the ATM card and presses the pin number, the ATM machine cannot automatically access the victim's ATM card. Next, another perpetrator entered the ATM room and pretended to help the victim and while taking advantage of the victim's panic condition because the ATM card was swallowed.

The perpetrator then asked the victim to press the pin number again so that the perpetrator could find out the victim's PIN number. The perpetrator also asked the victim to call the bank call center.

"After the victim exited the ATM room. The perpetrator freely took the money and balance in the victim's account. Meanwhile, the other perpetrators were watching the victim and other locations," he added.

The disclosure of the perpetrators' actions began with reports from the public who were victims of the actions of these conspirators in Bali. One of the victims in the burglary action was a Japanese citizen with the initials MO.

The police conducted an investigation and finally arrested the perpetrator at a villa in Tibubeneng Village, Pererenan, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

"The casualties incurred from this incident amounted to Rp. 36.9 million," he said.

From the examination, this conspiracy operates in 15 locations across provinces, namely Bali, West Java, Central Java, Lombok, Jakarta.

"After this we will check and trace the ATM machine where the perpetrator had installed a device to block the ATM mouth opening," said Kombes Rahardjo.
