Ronald Tannur's Lawyer's Confession Denied About Being PRESSed Until Electrocuted

JAKARTA - The testimony of Gregorius Ronald Tannur's lawyer, Lisa Rachmat, regarding being pressured and about to be electrocuted by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators during the disputed examination process.

The testimony was denied when the public prosecutor (JPU) presented a verbalisan witness, Ito Aziz Wasitomo, as an investigator for the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the trial of the alleged bribery and gratification case with the defendants three inactive judges at the Surabaya District Court, namely Erintuah Damanik, Mangapul and Heru Hanindyo.

"Witnesses during the examination, have you ever not pressed or forced Lisa's voice to answer?" asked the prosecutor during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Tuesday, March 4.

"Nothing at all did we suppress, coercion or whatever, which was intimidating by Mrs. Lisa," replied witness Ito.

Then, Chief Judge Teguh Santoso also asked witness Ito about Lisa Rachmat's confession which was suppressed so that it affected the information contained in the Investigation Report (BAP) with the actual facts.

"Yesterday, according to Lisa's statement, when she was examined, there were many investigators there, around her, so she seemed to be not free, felt pressured, was that the picture?" asked Judge Teguh.

"There is no panel," answered the witness.

"I repeat again, I emphasize again, is there any direction from Suadara to admit that investigators have directed, this is Pak Mangapul's statement or Pak Erintuah's statement like this, why don't you just follow their statement, is that like that?" asked the judge emphasizing.

"Never directing like that," said Ito.

In fact, the witness conveyed that everything recorded in the BAP was purely information from Lisa Rachmat as the case for alleged receipt of bribes and/or gratuity of Ronald Tannur's acquittal.

"So what is stated in this BAP is purely what he explains himself?" said the judge.

"Murni answers or statements from Lisa's brother," said Ito.

Previously, Lisa denied the contents of the BAP which stated that she had given money to a judge at the Surabaya District Court worth 150 thousand Singapore dollars or SGD. In fact, it was said that the statement had been requested to be replaced by investigators. This is because the statement was conveyed under pressure.

"That's what I will clarify, sir, because before this there was Pak Damanik's confession. So please what you asked Mr. Damanik first. I was pressured by investigators to admit that Pak Damanik admitted that he received money from me," said Lisa.

"Only this is pure information from the witness when examined?" asked the prosecutor.

At that time, Lisa said that the information was deliberately directed. This is because the pressure carried out by investigators is very large. In fact, he wanted to destroy it.

"Yes, but I made this statement, sir, because I was afraid that I would be billed a lot, and I was pressured to confess, I even want to be electrified, sir," said Lisa.
