Floods Hit Nagari Lansek Pasaman, Dozens Of Houses Are Submerged

As many as 60 houses in Kubu Sungkai Village, Jorong llI Rambah, Nagari Lansek Amazed, South Rao District, Pasaman Regency were hit by floods.

Wali Nagari (Head of Village) Lansek Antoni S said the flood with a height of one meter submerged people's houses since Thursday (27/2) morning.

"About 60 houses were hit by floods with a height of one meter," said Antoni, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 27.

He said the flood was due to the high intensity of rain that had flushed the area since Wednesday (276/2) night.

"This caused the current of the Batang Beringin River to overflow and hit residential areas," he said.

"There were no casualties. However, one resident's house collapsed when it was hit by the flood," he said.

Currently, the joint TNI-Polri team, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) together help residents evacuate goods in residents' homes.

"Currently we are still on standby, we are afraid that the flood will still ongoing and hit other residents' houses. We also went directly to help evacuate residents so that there were no casualties. The community also saved items from houses that were flooded," he explained.
