The DKI Provincial Government Will Announce Free Homecoming Registration In March

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will announce the registration of free homecoming participants in mid-March 2025.

"The decision is in mid-March. Please wait, we will announce it later. There are several prerequisites that must be met by registrants," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 25.

Currently, free homecoming is in the auction process by the DKI Provincial Government's Goods and Services Procurement Service Agency. After there is a winner, there will be preparations and announcements for registration.

According to him, the prerequisites for registering for free homecoming this year from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are not much different from last year.

Last year, prospective participants had to include the required administrative completeness, namely the Family Card (KK), DKI ID card, and STNK (if carrying a motorbike). and each registrant can add a maximum of three family members in one family family.

After successfully registering, the prospective participants verified by bringing a photocopy of administrative completeness to the nearest verification location.

Syafrin said the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government added 21 percent bus units this year, namely to 293 bus units for homecoming flow and 228 reverse transport buses.

"Because last year many hoped to join the homecoming for free, but because our quota was full, they were not occupied. We added the bus capacity," he said.

The DKI Provincial Government has also prepared 10 trucks to transport around 600 motorbikes belonging to residents who departed for homecoming and returned home after celebrating Eid in their hometowns.

"We allocated a budget of around Rp. 16 billion for the implementation of the 2025 Free Homecoming program," he said.
