In Front Of The Judge, Tebet Police Chief Call Rizieq Shihab Invites Habib And Ulama To Attend His Daughter's Wedding In Petamburan

JAKARTA - The Police Chief of Tebet, Police Commissioner Budi Cahyono, said that Rizieq Shihab had invited his sympathizers to come to his daughter's wedding in Petamburan.

This statement was made by Kompol Budi Cahyono when he was a witness in the trial of the alleged crowd and violation of the health protocol with the defendant Rizieq Shihab.

Initially, Police Commissioner Budi Cahyono explained about the security carried out at the residence of Habib Ali Abdurahman Asegaf. This is because the location was used as the venue for the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

"So to our knowledge, on November 13, 2020, we got the task of security at the Al-Fath assembly which held the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad 1442 H. Whereat the residence of the law it was Habib Ali Abdurahman Assegaf. So there we did security", said Kompol Budi in the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday, April 22.

"At the time of the event there was a congregational prayer program followed by the chanting of the Prophet's Salawat and lectures of the Habibs, then the Deputy Governor also gave a lecture. Then the host Habib Ali also gave a lecture, there was also a lecture from Mr. Habib Rizieq Shihab at 05.58 WIB", continued Kompol Budi.

From that statement, Kompol Budi alluded to the question made by Rizieq Shihab. Because at that time he heard Rizieq's voice asking for or inviting sympathizers.

"At the end of the street of Habib Ali's house 200 meters away, there is our security tent. There we heard, after hearing a lecture on the Prophet's birthday there was an invitation from the Habib and Ulama who were here", said Kompol Budi.

"Tomorrow night I will hold the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. I will marry my fourth daughter. I invite all of them. Ready to attend? Shouts Ready. We heard a loudspeaker", said Kompol Budi, taking out the invitation sentence.

The invitation, said Kompol Budi, was quite clear because it used loudspeakers. Also, Rizieq was very clear when he invited his sympathizers.

"When the defendant asked the witnesses to invite the Habib who the witness mentioned earlier, was he clear? Was he attending to come?", asked the prosecutor.

"It is clear", replied Cahyono.

"Who is talking about?", asked the prosecutor again.

"Rizieq Shihab", replied Cahyono again.

Meanwhile, Rizieq Shihab was charged with incitement to the appearance of a crowd at his daughter's wedding as well as commemorating the Prophet's birthday in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. This crowd is taking place in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

So that in this case, Rizieq was charged with violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code and or Article 82 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 59 paragraph 3 letters c and d Law Number 16 the Year 2017 concerning Community Organization in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 10 letter b of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 35 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
