The Mayor Of Semarang Is Concerned About Mbak Ita's Case, Which Is Now Detained By The KPK

SemarANG - Semarang Mayor Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti expressed his deep concern over the legal case that ensnared his senior, Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu (Mbak Ita), who is now being detained by the KPK.

"In the midst of our happiness today (the inauguration of the regional head, ed.), we also cannot ignore the atmosphere of concern over the condition of Mbak Ita (Hevearita, ed)," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 20.

This was conveyed when delivering a speech on the sidelines of a people's party entitled "Semarang Mangayu Bagyo" which was held in the courtyard of the Semarang City Hall.

Agustina also invited the people of Semarang City to pray for Mbak Ita to be given health and strength in dealing with the problems she was facing.

"I invite all of you, friends who attend and listen to my speech to pray together to God Almighty so that Mrs. Ita is given strength and health in dealing with the storm that is happening," he said.

He admitted that Mbak Ita had achieved many successes while leading the city of Semarang, so it was hoped that what she achieved would become a field of reward and good deeds.

"Hopefully every struggle and dedication to the city of Semarang will be a good deeds that bring blessings," said Agustina.

The KPK detained former Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu (HGR) and Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD Arwin Basri (AB), Wednesday (19/2), after the two were suspects in the alleged corruption case within the Semarang City Government.

"HGR and AB were detained at the Class 1 State Detention Center in East Jakarta, the KPK Detention Center Branch for 20 days starting from February 19, 2025 to March 10, 2025," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Ibnu Basuki Widodo.

Ibnu explained that both of them were suspected of having received a sum of money from three cases, namely the procurement of an SD fabrication seat at the Semarang City Education Office in 2023, the arrangement of direct appointment projects at the sub-district level in 2023, and requests for money to the Semarang City Bapenda.
