Pramono Doesn't Want To Leak The Names Of 7 Governor's Staff: The Governor's Regulation Is Completed First

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has not yet wanted to divulge 7 names who will be appointed as special staff (stafsus) to help him work to lead Jakarta.

Pramono emphasized that the names will be announced in the governor's regulation (pergub) which is still being drafted.

"The governor's regulation is being prepared by the Regional Secretary. Later when the governor's regulation is complete. That's why the governor's regulation will be completed first, then the special staff will be announced," said Pramono at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

Pramono emphasized that the appointment of the governor's staff in Jakarta did not violate the provisions. This was in response to a statement by the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Zudan Arif Fakhrullah at the South Sulawesi Governor's office some time ago.

At that time, Zudan emphasized that governors, regents, and mayors were prohibited from appointing new employees, such as special staff, experts, or a team of experts. If violated, it will get sanctions from the central government.

The former Cabinet Secretary explained that the ban does not apply to Jakarta. Because, in Article 38 of Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta, the governor of Jakarta may appoint special staff if needed.

"Article 38, paragraphs 1 and 2, then the governor may need special staff. So that this is clear, yes. Then to determine who the special staff is, how, and so on, it is regulated in the governor's regulation in paragraph 2. Thus, I am the person who will be properly ordered," said Pramono.

Some time ago, Pramono emphasized that the staff he would hire were different from the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) in the era of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Anies Baswedan when he was Governor of DKI.

"I will have 7 special staff, but of course there are expert staff and I will not use or not use what is called TGUPP," Pramono said during a visit to DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 4.

"This staff is the main task of helping governors and deputy governors. Of course not ASN, and there are those who take care of me every day, taking care of Bang Rano, but some professionals from 7 people. I prefer to believe in using professionals," he continued.
