Kohod Arsin Village Head Follows Legal Procedures After Being Named A Suspect

TANGERANG - The police have named the Village Head (Kades), Arsin as a suspect in the case of forgery of the Building Use Rights Certificate (SHGB) and the Rights Certificate (SHM) in the Tangerang Sea. How is Arsin's response?

Through the attorney for the Arsin Village Head, Yunihar, his client still respects the legal process determined by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"We and our clients respect this process. Of course what has been determined by Bareskrim, at least the elements in determining the suspect have been fulfilled with at least two pieces of evidence," Yunihar said when confirmed, Wednesday, February 19.

"Well, of course with this determination, so far, as long as we communicated with clients, of course he accepted," he continued.

He admitted that his client only found out that he was a suspect before the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit issued an official statement in front of reporters.

However, Yunihar is still considering further legal steps, such as filing a pretrial.

"Of course it will be considered for the next processes," he said.

Yunihar also said that his client would cooperate in undergoing the legal process that ensnared him. Because according to him, as a good citizen, he must follow the rules of the law.

"Of course in the future we will also cooperate. And he is very cooperative even though there are reports that are not in accordance with the facts, he also accepts them well and understands them," he concluded.

Bareskrim Polri has named four suspects in the case of alleged forgery of land certificates related to the sea fence in Tangerang Regency waters. One of them is the village head (Kades) of Kohod, Arsin.

Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro stated that the determination of the suspect was based on the case title process carried out today. Based on evidence, the four people are believed to have committed criminal acts of deed forgery.

"Then, from the results of the case title, on this occasion we, all investigators and all the title participants, have agreed to determine the four suspects," Djuhandhani told reporters, Tuesday, February 18.

Apart from Arsin, three other suspects, namely the Kohod Village Secretary (Sekdes) with the initials UK and SP and CE as the recipients of power. They conspired to create and use fake letters to request the issuance of land certificates.

"The four of them have jointly made and used fake letters in the form of Girik, a Statement of Physical Control in the Land Sector, a Statement of Dispute, a Land Certificate, a Certificate of Testimony Statement, a Certificate Application Management Certificate from Kohod Villagers, and other documents made by the village head from December 2023 to November 2024," said Djuhandani.
