AHY Considers The Permanent Coalition To Solidify Government

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) assessed that the idea of a permanent coalition for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus has a good spirit.

"I think the spirit is good, and I certainly want to focus, which is clear that the Indonesia Maju Coalition is currently solid," AHY said at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18, as reported by ANTARA.

AHY said this coalition was solid because it was led directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

According to him, this coalition led by Prabowo is not just agimmick, but was built through various meetings, both open and closed, formal and informal.

These meetings, he said, were filled with thoughts, ideas, and input. This is considered an indicator of a healthy coalition. A healthy political coalition, according to him, will form a strong and solid political force.

"This healthy political coalition will provide a way for the formation of strong political forces, solid ones, not only what is important for us to defend whatever is a policy, but rather a common house that is open and provides mutual support, support, input, and even criticism," he said.

AHY admitted that he was comfortable with the Democratic Party being in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition and hoped that this cohesiveness could be maintained not only at the beginning but also for the next five years in guarding the government.

"Hopefully the result will be cohesiveness that will bear fruit in good performance," he hoped.

When asked about the Democratic Party's support for Prabowo Subianto until 2029, AHY stated that his party supports Prabowo to become a successful and successful president.

He hopes that the people can benefit from Prabowo's leadership. AHY also emphasized his desire that the Democratic Party and the Advanced Indonesia Coalition can continue to play a good role in supporting the government.

"We certainly want to support Pak Prabowo to continue to lead, and we hope that with all of them, Democrats, the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, can also continue to be played well," he concluded.

It is known that President Prabowo Subianto asked the general chairman and central board of political parties who are members of KIM Plus to become a permanent coalition that supports the government until 2029.

President Prabowo's desire to form a permanent coalition was revealed by several general chairmen of political parties and party officials when they were met after attending the KIM Plus gathering with President Prabowo, who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP, at Prabowo's private residence, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Friday (14/2).
