JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has signed Government Regulation (PP) number 6 of 2025 which is intended to strengthen protection or protection and provide better guarantees for workers affected by layoffs (PHK).

Meanwhile, the provisions added are Article 39 for Paragraph (1) which reads, "In the event that the company is declared bankrupt in closing in accordance with the provisions of the legislation and in arrears of dues no later than 6 (six) months, the benefits of JKP will still be paid by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan".

Meanwhile, paragraph (2) reads, "The provision for payment of benefits for JKP as referred to in paragraph (1) does not erase the obligation of Entrepreneurs to pay arrears and fines for the employment social security program".

This rule was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto on February 7, 2025 and promulgated on the same day by the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

This regulation also regulates that ministries that organize government affairs in the employment sector, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and BPJS Kesehatan must adjust the JKP participation no later than 15 working days after official regulations take effect.
