Convinced Prabowo Reports Electric Car From Erdogan, KPK Alludes To Exemplifying Other Officials

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) believes that President Prabowo Subianto will report an electric car prize from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and an F1 racer helmet given by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said this belief arose because President Prabowo was committed to supporting the eradication of corruption. Erdogan gave the T10X Togg as a form of Turkey-Indonesia's friendship and close relationship.

"We believe that the President will certainly report to the KPK," Budi said when contacted by reporters, Thursday, February 13.

"This is in line with the president's commitment to fully support efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption as well as an example for all state administrators and state civil servants," he continued.

"The deadline for reporting gratuity receipts is 30 working days starting from the date the gratuity is received, as stipulated in Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption," he said.

When he saw the vehicle, Prabowo seemed to smile and welcomed Erdogan's gift. The former Minister of Defense even immediately tried it by sitting in the steering seat on the left.

Meanwhile, the F1 racer helmet was given by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Monday, January 27. When the two met, Prabowo received a black head shield prize from the Mercedes AMG Petronas team.
