KPK Investigate Transactions Related To The Mining Of PT Sinar Kumala Naga In The Rita Widyasari Case

"Investigators are exploring the role concerned and the activities of PT SKN related to coal mining transactions in Kutai Kartanegara," KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika told reporters in a statement to reporters, Thursday, February 13.

The witness being questioned was a private employee or Finance Director of PT Sinar Kumala Naga, Rifando. "The examination was carried out at the KPK office," said Tessa.

Previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of corruption related to coal exports that ensnared Rita Widyasari as the former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara. He is suspected of receiving metric tons in every exploration process.

Adapun dugaan ini menjadi pintu masuk mengusut dugaan tindak pidana pencucian uang (TPPU) yang ditangani. KPK juga sudah menggeledah sejumlah lokasi, termasuk rumah Ketua Umum Pemuda Pancasila Japto Soerjosoemarno dan menemukan 11 mobil hingga uang senilai Rp56 miliar dalam bentuk rupiah dan mata uang asing.

Kemudian, turut digeledah juga kediaman politikus Partai NasDem Ahmad Ali. Dari upaya paksa itu, penyidik menyita uang dalam bentuk rupiah dan valas senilai Rp3,49 miliar; dokumen; barang bukti elektronik dan juga ada tas dan jam tangan branded.

Rita is currently a resident of Pondok Bambu Women's Prison, East Jakarta because she was proven to have received gratuities of Rp. 110.7 billion and bribes of up to Rp. 6 billion from permit applicants and project partners. He had to serve a sentence of 10 years in prison which was handed down by the Jakarta Corruption Court on July 6, 2018.
