JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has not yet decided on the 3 kg LPG (HET) highest retail price because it is still studying various things, including the situation and conditions in various administrative areas.

"We are still studying it first. We are observing the HET in accordance with Pergub 4 of 2015, for cities in Jakarta it is Rp. 16,000, for the Thousand Islands there are Rp. 18,000, some Rp. 19,500," said Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 11.

He said the DKI Provincial Government was careful in implementing the policy because it considered the impact and situation and conditions.

"The government's policy should be right, look at the situation (situation and conditions) too, not just rising (price). We will still study it," he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Assistant for the Economy and Finance (Asperkeu) of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary, Suharini Eliawati, said that the consideration regarding the highest retail price was so that the distribution of LPG was right on target.

He emphasized that in Jakarta there was never a shortage of 3 kg LPG. Even if there was a decrease in Jakarta quota by 5 percent this year, Eliawati asked residents not to panic because the stock was safe.

"Because later usually during certain moments, Ramadan usually has market operations. In 2015-2023 there was never a shortage," he said.

The realization of the distribution of 3 kg LPG gas in Jakarta in 2024 reached 421,989 metric tons, or 101.14 percent of the set quota. Therefore, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI proposed a quota of 433,933 metric tons for 2025.

However, the agreed quota is 407,555 metric tons, or about five percent lower than the proposal.
