JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission I DPR RI from the Golkar faction, Dave Laksono admitted that there was an order for all commissions in the DPR RI to postpone the budget efficiency discussion meeting with ministries and institutions.

The postponement was based on a circular signed by the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. The letter is dated February 7, 2025.

However, Dave did not explain further about the circular.

"It seems so (the DPR postponed the meeting with ministries and institutions to discuss budget efficiency, ed)," Dave told reporters, Monday, February 10.

The circular was also confirmed by the Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII DPR Andreas Hugo Pareira. Andreas admitted that his party had received a circular signed by Dasco.

"Yes," said Andreas.

Previously, a letter was circulated regarding the postponement of the meeting signed by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

In the letter, it was written that there was an application to postpone the budget efficiency discussion meeting from the Ministry/Institutions because there would be a budget reconstruction from the government.

Thus, the leadership of the DPR asked all commissions from Commission I to Commission XIII to postpone the discussion of the efficiency of the partner's budget.

"If there is a commission that has discussed budget efficiency with partners, then they are asked to hold a meeting again after the partners receive the latest reconstruction budget," said the circular dated February 7.
