Land Corruption Case 65 Hectare Of NTB Provincial Government Assets, Prosecutor's Office Examines Witnesses Including Village Apparatus

The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) examined a number of witnesses in the alleged corruption case in the misuse of NTB Provincial Government (Pemprov) assets in the form of 65 hectares of land, former management of PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI) in the Gili Trawangan tourist area, North Lombok Regency.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, confirmed that the witness examination was active based on a summons from investigators.

"Yes, that's right. Today there was a summons for examination of witnesses in the provincial government land case in Trawangan by pidsus investigators (special convicts)," he said in Mataram, Monday, February 10, which was confiscated by Antara.

The witnesses who were included in the examination agenda came from the community who opened their business stalls in the 65 hectare area. There were also a number of village officials who were present at the NTB Prosecutor's Office.

There was also revealed that the summons of a businessman with the initials IA who is currently undergoing custody at the Mataram Class III Women's Prison in a case of alleged distribution of magic mushrooms or fungi containing psychoactive psilocybin substances in the Gili Trawangan tourist area.

Efrien confirmed that the IA summons was being held at the Mataram Class III Women's Prison and other witnesses during the investigation stage in the special criminal field.

"For IA, the information is also called, but it hasn't come yet," he said.

The NTB Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into this case based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office Number: PRINT-08/N.2/Fd.1/09/2024, dated September 10, 2024 in conjunction with Number: PRINT-08a/N.2/Fd.1/01/2025, dated January 6, 2025.

In the warrant, the NTB Prosecutor's Office was recorded as investigating alleged corruption in the misuse of land for the NTB Provincial Government as an individual business in Gili Trawangan Hamlet, Gili Indah Village, Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency which could harm state finances.
