JAKARTA - The Jayawijaya Resort Police (Polres), Papua Mountains, is investigating a traffic accident (accident) case in Bolakme District and the Case of Body Discovery in Usilimo District.
Head of Public Relations of the Jayawijaya Police, Ipda M Suryanto, said that his party had held a crime scene (TKP) related to the two cases that occurred at different times and places.
"The accident case of a hit-and-run between a motorcycle and a pedestrian resulted in three injuries that occurred in Bolakme District and the discovery of an unidentified male corpse in Alona Village, Usilimo District being investigated," said Suryanto in Wamena, Friday, January 31, as quoted by Antara.
He said that as a result of the two cases, the community or the families of the victims carried out roadblocks, resulting in traffic routes to and from neighboring districts such as Tolikara and Central Mamberamo being impassable.
He explained that his party is currently still conducting investigations related to the two cases, where on Friday today his party has conducted a crime scene investigation to collect evidence and asked for information from a number of witnesses so that this problem can be resolved quickly.
"In addition to processing the crime scene, we are also trying to negotiate with the families of the victims who took action, to ask to open the barrier so as not to disturb the economy of other people," he said.
He hopes that the problem can be resolved properly so that the security and public order conditions (kamtibmas) are not disturbed.
