4 DPO Cases Of Cross Car Embezzlement In Sulawesi Province Arrested At Gorontalo Night Entertainment Places

GORONTALO - Four people who were included in the People's Wanted List (DPO) case of cross-provincial car embezzlement in Sulawesi, were arrested by personnel from the Gorontalo City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Gorontalo Province.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police, Kompol Leonardo Widharta, said the four men who were arrested had the initials FD (36), IR (28), ID (43). The three are residents of East Kota District, and RM (39) is a resident of South City District, Gorontalo City.

"Recently, it is known that these four people are DPO cases of cross-provincial embezzlement. We secured them while in one of the nightclubs in Badminton District, Gorontalo City," Leonardo said in Gorontalo, Antara, Tuesday, January 28.

The arrests of these four people began with the report of one of the victims, as the owner of a car rental business (rental) in Gorontalo City.

He said a man with the initials IR came to the victim's place of business to rent a car, on the grounds that he would pick up his family in Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province.

After the car was rented, the victim observed the car borrowed by the perpetrator in the Manado City area of North Sulawesi Province, so the victim began to feel suspicious and worried.

The victim's suspicions began to be answered while trying to contact the perpetrator's phone number but it was no longer active, so the victim immediately reported this incident to the Police Integrated Service Center (SPKT) picket of the Gorontalo City Police.

After receiving the report, the Rajawali Resmob team immediately conducted an investigation until they managed to pocket the identity and whereabouts of the alleged perpetrators and secured without a fight.

"From the results of the examination, it turned out that they were the same case DPO from two regions, namely the North Sulawesi Regional Police and the Central Sulawesi Regional Police," he said.

From the results of the initial interrogation, the car rented was sold by the perpetrators to other people at a price of Rp. 27 million.

"Currently, the four people have been handed over to the investigators of the Gorontalo City Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further investigation and investigation," he added.
