Turkish Bayraktar TB2 Drone Made By Baykar Records One Million Flying Hours

JAKARTA - Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV) made by Turkish defense company Baykar reached a new milestone last month, after successfully surpassing 1 million flight hours, a new milestone in Turkish aviation history, according to the company in a post on X as quoted January 115,

After starting operations in 2014, Bayraktar TB2 has become the first and only domestic fighter to surpass 1 million flight hours over the past decade, strengthening its status as the longest-serving national air platform.

"Through its competitors from America, Israel and China, Baykar, the world's largest UAV company, has pushed Turkey into a position that controls 65 percent of the global UAV market through its outstanding export success," Baykar said in a news release to mark the milestone. "With a key role in this achievement, UAV Bayraktar TB2 has recorded 1 million hours of flying, covering a distance of about 150 million kilometers in the sky," he added.

The company also remembers that Bayraktar TB2 has become the choice of many countries around the world thanks to its advanced technology, affordability, fast delivery, and proven effectiveness in the field.

The company also cites a recent report by the United States-based think tank Center for a New American Security (CNAS) highlighting Turkey's achievements in the drone sector by accounting for 65 percent of global armed UAV exports.
