Cable Thief And AC Pipe That Makes Residents Of Grogol Petamburan Uneasy Successfully Arrested

JAKARTA - HK (28), the perpetrator of the theft of cables and air conditioning pipes in empty houses, was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Grogol Petamburan Police.

The perpetrator was arrested after the police conducted a search through CCTV camera footage during the theft incident on Jalan Dukuh Barat 1, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, occurred.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Aprino Tamara said the perpetrator was caught on CCTV cameras while committing theft in the form of cables and air conditioning pipes in empty houses that were under construction.

"When the house was empty, the perpetrator cut the cable and took the AC pipe at the house," said AKP Aprino when confirmed, Friday, January 24.

Local residents are already worried about the actions of the perpetrators who often carry out the theft. But unfortunately, even though they often escape after stealing, this time the perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV cameras.

"The perpetrator was successfully secured in a rented house, Jalan Tanjung Duren Timur, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta," he said.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator admitted that he was desperate to steal when the house at the renovation stage was left by the workers.

Meanwhile, the victim, who knew about the incident, then reported it to the Grogol Petamburan Police. Armed with the report, the Criminal Investigation Team immediately moved and identified the perpetrator.

To account for his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code.
