Police Investigate Alleged Obscenity Cases By ASN Personnel In Bukittinggi

The BuKITTINGGI Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Bukittinggi Police, West Sumatra, is investigating allegations of sexual abuse of minors involving a state civil servant (ASN) as well as a silat teacher in the area.

"It is true, the reported party is an ASN of the Bukittinggi City Government. Currently, the case is still under investigation," said Head of the Bukittinggi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Idris Bakara, quoted from ANTARA.

The Bukittinggi Police have summoned the reported party to undergo the examination process and case title at the Mapolresta, including the crime scene (TKP).

"The case title process has been carried out to explore information from the reported party, victim, and the results of the examination at the TKP," said Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bukittinggi Police, AKP Anidar.

According to the police, this case occurred in the Guguk Bulek area, Bukittinggi City. Further examination is still needed to confirm the chronology and supporting evidence.

"The provisional statement states that the perpetrator's mode is to train the silat at his house. The perpetrator admitted to providing additional silat lessons to the victim at his home," explained Anidar.

This case was first reported by the victim's parents in November 2024 with the report number STTLP/B/146/XI/2024, with the reported initials RP. Based on the report, the alleged obscenity occurred on Sunday (18/8/2024) and Tuesday (20/8/2024).

In the report, the reporter revealed that the victim was asked to massage the reported person who was not dressed after doing physical training.

Reported RP was reported on suspicion of child protection crimes in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
