AGO 'Monitors' Allegations Of Sea Pagar Crime

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) also monitors the development of alleged criminal violations behind the installation of a sea fence in the Tangerang Regency area.

So far, it is known that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is investigating alleged criminal violations.

"I think all law enforcement officers (APH) are following developments (including the AGO)," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar to VOI, Thursday, January 23.

A form of alleged criminal acts supervised by the AGO related to the sea fence is corruption. However, it was not conveyed in detail the extent of the development of monitoring or information that has been obtained to date.

"According to our authority, are there any criminal incidents indicated to be corruption," said Harli.

The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, stated that his party had summoned a number of fishermen who claimed to have installed a 30.16 kilometer sea fence in the waters of Tangerang.

"Yes, we have called the fishermen who previously claimed to have fenced it. There are two people who have fulfilled the summons," he said.

Not only that, said Treggono, his party has also summoned a group of people who also claim responsibility for the installation of the sea fence.

"Now it's still ongoing can't be concluded, why? Because they say 'representing' because it's groups and they're making lists (lists). Making a list of the names of the fishermen who installed it," he said.
