KPK Names 5 Corruption Suspects For The Riau SKA Intersection Flyover Project

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named five suspects for alleged corruption in the construction of the Simpang Jalan Pembeli Tambusai flyover, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta (SP.SKA) within the Riau Provincial government for the 2018 fiscal year. This step is based on an investigation warrant (sprindik) issued on January 10, 2025.

"The suspects have already been mentioned by YN, GR, TC, ES, and NR," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, January 22.

YN is the Head of Development and Bridge of the Riau PUPR Service as the Budget User Authority (KPA); GR as the private sector took over the work of a detailed design review or Detail Engineering and Design (DED) from PT PI.

Then NR as the head of PT YK Pekan Baru Branch, the company that gets the work of the construction management consultant for the flyover construction; ES as Director of PT SC; TC as Director of PT SHJ.

Asep explained that the construction of the Flyover had harmed state finances. The project's estimated price (HPS) is said to have reached Rp159.3 billion.

However, this HPS was not made in detail according to a construction expert's study. "It was conveyed that the state's financial loss was around Rp. 60 billion. So this is quite large," he said.

In investigating this case, the KPK has searched the Riau Province Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, Monday, January 20. Four suitcases were brought by the team that came but the KPK has not detailed what was obtained.
