French Citizen Killed As Hit And Run Victim In Canggu Bali

BADUNG - A French citizen (WNA) with the initials LPJM (25) became a victim of a hit-and-run on Jalan Raya Canggu, Bali. The victim died with a serious head injury.

"The victim suffered a serious head injury and died at the crime scene (TKP)," said Head of Public Relations of the Badung Police, Ipda Putu Sukarma, Friday, January 17.

Hit-and-run occurred at 04.30 WITA. The location of the incident was on Jalan Raya Canggu, in Banjar Pipitan, Canggu, North Kuta District, Badung Regency.

At that time, a French tourist was riding a Honda vario motorcycle with a DK number plate of 3850 AAH.

According to eyewitness reports, the victim's motorbike was hit from behind whose identity was not yet known. The victim bounced while the perpetrator fled.

"The motorbike and victim bounced forward and were dragged. Then the vehicle (which hit the victim) left the scene of the incident," he added.

Currently, the victim's body has been taken to Prof. Dr. GNG Ngoerah Hospital, Denpasar.

"The identity of the hit-and-run is not yet known. It is still under investigation," he said.
