Minister Of Religion: Indonesian Congregants Will Not Occupy Mina Jadid

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar reported that Indonesian pilgrims who would not occupy Mina Jadid in organizing the 1446 Hijri/2025 AD pilgrimage.

"We also submitted a request (to the Government of Saudi Arabia) so that Indonesian pilgrims are placed not in Mina Jadid's neighborhood, to avoid debate regarding the issue of khilafiah. Even though there are no problems in modern schools, we still ask for placement in Mina as a priority," said Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar upon arrival in Indonesia, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 16.

This assurance was conveyed by Nasaruddin after carrying out a visit to Saudi Arabia to finalize the preparation for the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage 1446 Hijri/2025 AD.

Mina Jadid did not occupy it so that the location of Indonesian pilgrims was not too far away from the congregation. In addition, to increase the comfort of the congregation in worship.

As in the previous year, this year's Hajj season, Indonesian pilgrims plan to occupy zones 3 and 4 within the Mina area.

On the other hand, during the Minister of Religion's visit to Saudi, a number of preparations such as consumption services, guidelines, transportation, and the preparation of Masyair services have entered the final stage.

"Alhamdulillah, all the targets that we brought there were achieved. In fact, we shortened this visit for savings and because there were many other matters that had to be resolved in the country," he said.

In general, the minister assessed that the preparation of Hajj in Saudi Arabia had been completed, only to complete some small details. Furthermore, the Ministry of Religion will focus on preparing in the country.

The Minister of Religion is committed to carrying out the implementation of the 1446H/2025M Hajj pilgrimage professionally. He also ensured that there were no deviant practices.

"We are trying to meet the expectations of the community and the constitution to provide the best for the nation. Regarding the President's hope that the cost of Hajj will be cheaper and better service this year, God willing, it can be realized," he said.
