Deputy Chief Of Staff Asks Komcad Personnel To Be Trained In Cyber Field

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army Lt. Gen. Tandyo Budi R asked reserve component personnel (komcad) not only to have combat capabilities, but also to have expertise in cyber defense.

"The training provided must vary, including in cyber technology and operations in urban environments, it also needs to be carried out so that the Komcad's capabilities are relevant to the times," Tandyo said when opening the first batch of Komcad Matra training consisting of Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) and Government Employees with Contract Agreements (P3K) of the Ministry of Defense for Fiscal Year (TA) 2025 at Wirayudha Field, Zeni Education Center (Pusdikzi), Bogor City, quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 16.

Komcad's goal is to have cyber capabilities so that they are ready to be deployed if there is a cyber attack in the form of attacks on foreign information or hacking of state strategic data. Not only that, Komcad is also expected to be an arena for civil society to strengthen the spirit of defending the country and love for the country.

With a strong sense of love for the homeland, Tandyo believes the Komcad members will give all their abilities, including in the field of cyber or other things in defending the country.

Furthermore, Tandyo explained that there were 287 participants who participated in this Komcad training. They will take part in training in terms of materials and practice for 1.5 months at Pusdikzi, Bogor.

After that, the civilians will be returned to their respective units to serve as state civil servants. Tandyo hopes that after undergoing Komcad training, the participants can continue to maintain the values of love for the homeland and distribute it to the wider community.
