JAKARTA - Secretary of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Suhud Alynudin, asked PAM Jaya's regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) to increase socialization to the public regarding information related to maintenance or improvement that could affect water supply.

"Increases need to be made in terms of information, especially in the socialization of maintenance, as is the case today with cloudy water farming. Late socialization can trigger complaints from the public," said Suhud on Monday, January 13.

Meanwhile, in handling complaints and clean water disturbances experienced by customers, Suhud assessed that PAM's performance had gone well. Moreover, said Suhud, PAM Jaya has implemented a hotline center service that is responsive to public complaints.

"So far, complaints from the public regarding the disturbances that have occurred have been anticipated and handled properly by PAM Jaya," said Suhud.

Previously, the President Director of Perumda PAM Jaya, Arief Nasrudin, said that the PAM Jaya hotline center service is a vital means of providing information and receiving customer complaints about clean water services in DKI Jakarta.

Arief said the PAM 1500-223 LAPOR service operates 24 hours daily, making it easier for customers to access information or report problems related to water distribution.

"Customers can contact the PAM 1500-223 LAPOR to report complaints or obtain information related to water services. This service operates around the clock, 24 hours a day," said Arief.

Regarding the handling of complaints, Arief added that the response time for follow-up reports depends on the type of problem faced. Reports related to minor improvements are usually followed up within 1x24 hours.

However, for cases that require greater infrastructure improvement, the completion time can vary.

"The process of resolving complaints really depends on the situation and conditions, as well as the complexity of the work needed," he said.
