Police Name Ustaz Who Is Suspected Of Molesting Dozens Of Children In Ciledug As DPO

TANGERANG - Tangerang City Metro Police are hunting for Ustaz with the initials W (40) who is suspected of molesting his students in the Ciledug area, Tangerang City. Now the man is on the wanted list (DPO).

"Yes (entering the DPO). Now we are looking for it. Yes, please give us time so we can get it," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, January 10.

Zain explained that the alleged sexual abuse case had gone up to the investigation stage after receiving the report on December 23, 2024, then.

"We have raised fingerprints. The victim reported on December 23," he said.

Regarding the information that the victims reached dozens of children, said Zain, his party had only received reports of 4 children.

Therefore, if there are other victims, then immediately report them to the Tangerang City Metro Police. The goal is that his party can provide assistance to the victims.

"Meanwhile, only 4. Therefore, at this time we continue to appeal to residents, if there are residents whose children become victims, immediately report them to us, so that we can provide assistance and conduct inspections," he said.

Previously, Ustaz's alleged sexual abuse and sodomy with the initials W were allegedly experienced by dozens of recitation children. Information said that the victim was suspected of reaching 30 boys.

The witness and at the same time the victim's initials F said that the alleged perpetrator carried out his action at a taklim assembly, a house that was used as a place for teaching and learning.

"Based on records, there are 30 people. If you count from my friends (victims)," said F, Friday, December 27.

F revealed that the perpetrators had committed the depraved act since 2000. The average victim is elementary school (SD) and junior high school (SMP) students.

"Initially, none of the victims dared to speak up," he said.
