JAKARTA - Ripple president Monica Long predicts that 2025 will be a great year for crypto assets, especially with the ratification of more crypto Exchange-Trad Funds (ETF).

In an interview with Bloomberg Crypto, Long expressed his belief that various crypto spot ETFs will get approval from US regulators this year, including ETFs for XRP altcoins.

Long calls XRP a strong candidate who is likely to get the next ETF approval. A number of ETF providers, such as Bitwise Asset Management, 21Shares, Canary Capital, and WisdomTree, submitted a statement on the registration of the S-1 Form for the XRP ETF last year to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

According to Long, this approval for the XRP ETF will be realized more quickly along with Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election and changes in leadership at the SEC.

In recent years, the SEC has given the green light for the launch of the Bitcoin (BTC) spot market ETFs in January 2024, leading to a billion-dollar flow into Bitcoin, the largest digital asset by market cap. Shortly thereafter, Ethereum (ETH) also received ETF approval in July 2024, which further paved the way for other crypto ETF products.

XRP is currently trading at a price of 2.36 US dollars (Rp38,200) with a slight increase in the last 24 hours. Long also expressed optimism for the stablecoin market. The stablecoin market, which currently exceeds 150 billion US dollars (Rp2.43 trillion), is expected to reach more than US$3 trillion (Rp48.6 trillion) in the coming years.
