Immigration Arrests US Marshals Fugitive Involved In Child Sexual Exploitation Case

The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Immigration arrested a citizen of the United States (US) with the initials TJC who is a fugitive from a federal law enforcement agency, US Marshals.

It is known, TJC is a fugitive because he was involved in a case of alleged sexual exponentship of children.

"The United States citizen on behalf of TJC was secured by investigators from the Wasdakim Directorate and a demonstration was carried out," said Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement, Yuldi Yusman, to reporters, Thursday, January 9.

The arrest of the fugitive began when Immigration received information from the United States Embassy regarding the revocation of the TJC passport on December 18. In fact, there has been an active arrest warrant from the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.

"Based on crossing data, information was obtained that the person concerned with passport number A52376279 was in Indonesia. Its existence has been since December 4, 2024, which traveled from Malaysia and entered Indonesian territory through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," he said.

Therefore, the Wasdakim Directorate issued an immigration administrative action decision letter in the form of prevention of TJC on December 19, 2024. Then, issued a pre-investigation warrant on December 23, 2024.

"Based on observations of the immigration system, the investigation team received information that there was an application for an extension of the residence permit from a US citizen on behalf of TJC through the Molina application with an address in Tangerang," he said.

Furthermore, the team coordinated to postpone the application for residence permit and provide referrals to the Tangerang immigration office.

Apparently, TJC extended the residence permit at the Tangerang immigration office, on Monday 30 December 2024. So, it was immediately secured.

"The person concerned was immediately secured by the Inteldakim team at the Tangerang immigration office," said Yuldi.
