Not During The 52nd Anniversary, PDIP Will Invite Prabowo To Attend The Party Congress

The PDI-P has confirmed that it will not send an invitation to President Prabowo Subianto to attend the 52nd Anniversary which will be held at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, on Friday, January 10.

This assurance was conveyed by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Djarot Syaiful Hidayat in a press conference to prepare for the PDIP 52nd Anniversary commemoration at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta, Thursday, January 9.

Even so, PDIP will invite Prabowo to attend the Party Congress which will be held in the near future.

"Regarding the party's anniversary invitation, because our simple event did not invite representatives of the government, we did not invite Pak Prabowo, for example," said Djarot.

"Mr. Prabowo, God willing, we will invite the people ahead of the Party Congress," he continued.

The reason PDIP did not invite Prabowo to the PDIP Anniversary was because the event was only for internal parties. At the same time it is a reflection for all party cadres.

"Because the party's anniversary is for our internal party. As a medium for us to carry out introspection and self-improvement, as well as to design various kinds of activities that directly touch the people. And we do it simply, so it is done at the party school," explained Djarot.

The theme of the 52nd Anniversary of the PDIP is 'Satyam Eva Jayate' with the theme 'Api Perjuangan Nan Tak Kunjung Padam'. Djarot said the event would be held simply considering that the nation's economic condition was not doing well.

Djarot said that PDIP did not want to be involved in a luxurious party. Because according to him, the luxurious party held by the party will hurt the hearts of the people.

"If we face such a luxurious party's anniversary, it will hurt people's hearts. So it is full of simplicity, but ideologically meaningfully and directly followed by our movement to be able to go directly down together with the people," said Djarot.
