2025 National Press Day Committee Names Prabowonomics as Flagship Program

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun emphasized that Prabowonomics will be the flagship program of the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) held in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

"This is a form of journalists' contribution in supporting government programs, especially related to national food security and the development of South Kalimantan," said Hendry at the HPN 2025 Organizing Committee meeting in Jakarta, Monday, January 6.

The meeting was led by the Chairperson of the HPN 2025 Organizing Committee, Raja Parlindungan Pane, attended by all members of the committee.

The Prabowonomics program will discuss President Prabowo Subianto's flagship work policies that are directly related to the community. Several ministers, regional heads, and academics are scheduled to be resource persons to thoroughly examine the implementation of the policy.

"Prabowonomics is not just a concept. This program supports food and economic security, in accordance with the government's grand vision," explained Raja Parlindungan Pane.

In addition to Prabowonomics, HPN 2025 also holds various supporting activities. Among them are the Adinegoro Journalism Award, Media Summit and Press Exhibition, Local UMKM Exhibition, Journalist Planting Action for greening and the Awarding of Gold Pen and Gold Pin to figures who have contributed to the world of the press.

The plan is that the Governor of South Kalimantan, H. Muhidin, will receive the Golden Pen for his contribution to advancing the national and regional press.

At HPN 2024, the Golden Pin was given to Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir for his support for the free Journalist Competency Test (UKW), one of the flagship programs of the Central PWI. For this year, a similar award will be given to regional heads or heads of departments who are considered to have contributed to supporting the development of the press.

"We ask the regions to propose the names of figures who are worthy of receiving the Golden Pin. We will discuss this in the next meeting," said Raja.

President Prabowo Subianto is expected to attend HPN 2025 which will be held in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan later. Prabowo's presence is considered important to strengthen the synergy between the press and the government in realizing the grand vision of Prabowonomics.

"President Prabowo is expected to open the event directly, while also providing direction regarding the national development vision," concluded Hendry.
