YOGYAKARTA - The name of Judge Eko Aryanto has recently been in the public spotlight after the verdict he handed down on the Harvey Moeis case drew controversy.

The husband of Sandra Dewi, Harvey Moeis, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for a tin sector corruption case that cost the state hundreds of trillions of rupiah.

Reporting from Antaranews, the verdict handed down by Chief Judge Eko Aryanto on Monday, December 23, 2024, has drawn controversy. Many think the verdict is too light compared to a very large state loss.

The controversial legal decision taken by Judge Eko Aryanto has attracted public attention not only to the decision of the case, but also to his wealth profile.

The judge argued that the prosecutor's demands were too heavy when compared to Harvey Moeis' role in this case. However, the public still questions justice in handling corruption cases involving public figures.

The State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2023 revealed the details of the assets owned by the judge.

Based on LHKPN, Judge Eko Aryanto's total wealth was recorded at IDR 2,820,981,000. This figure consists of several types of assets, including:

Judge Eko Aryanto is recorded as owning a plot of land and buildings covering an area of 200 m2/100 m2 located in Malang City. This asset is obtained from its own products and has an estimated value of IDR 1,350,000,000.

The collection of Hakim Eko Aryanto's vehicles is quite diverse. He is recorded as owning five motorized vehicles, namely the Honda CR-V Minibus (2013), Honda Civic Sedan (2013), Kawasaki Ninja (2013), Kawasaki (2013), and Toyota Innova Reborn G 2.0 AT (2016).

All of Eko Aryanto's vehicles are obtained from their own products and have a total value of IDR 910,000,000.

Apart from property and vehicles, Judge Eko Aryanto also has other movable assets worth Rp395,000,000. Details of this asset are not specifically stated in the LHKPN.

Judge Eko Aryanto also has cash deposits and cash equivalents of IDR 165,981,000.

What is interesting is that in the LHKPN there is no list of debts owned by Judge Eko Aryanto. Thus, the total wealth reported is a net asset owned by him.
