The Rescue Team For The Evacuation Of 5-Year-Old Boy While Drowning In A 1.5-meter Depth Swimming Pool

JAKARTA - Mukomuko Resort Police, Bengkulu Province confirmed that the health condition of a five-year-old boy who drowned in a swimming pool in Penarik District had improved after undergoing treatment at the local health center.

"The condition of the victim named M Rafa has improved, but is still vomiting to emit liquids such as water," said Mukomuko Police Chief AKBP Yana Supriatna in her statement, Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

The police, through their personnel at the Penarik Raya Police Headquarters in Penarik District, checked the health condition of the child who drowned at the Penarik Health Center.

The police checked after the Penarik Raya Police picket officers received information about the drowning child who had been taken to the puskesmas.

Based on witness testimony, the incident began when Rafa and his grandmother Warimah (50) came to the Waterboom Tirta Surya tourist attraction in Maju Makmur Village, Penarik District at around 14.00 WIB.

At around 15.45 WIB Rafa took a 1.5 meter long swimming pool. The pool guard saw the victim drowned and saved him.

Then the officers took first aid steps by vacuuming and pumping the victim's chest so that water could come out and at that time the victim was removing water mixed with phlegm.

After the victim woke up or breathed again, the victim was taken by the pool guard to the Penarik Health Center on a motorbike followed by his family.

On the way to the puskesmas the victim kept vomiting.
