According to Rina, one of the residents of Jakarta, she asked the government to immediately stabilize the prices of foodstuffs and basic necessities in Jakarta.

The reason is, since the end of 2024 towards the turn of the year, a number of prices for basic necessities have continued to increase dramatically.

"Hopefully Indonesia will be more victorious, Indonesia will be more prosperous. Please lower the prices of basic necessities, sir," Rina told VOI in the HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday morning, January 1, 2025.

The woman, who has been a food trader for 10 years, complained about the high price of basic necessities, especially in Jakarta.

Previously, the HI Roundabout area became the center of celebrations for New Year's Eve 2025 this year. The main stage of New Year's celebrations is at the HI Roundabout, inviting millions of residents to visit the area on Tuesday, December 31, evening.

Millions of residents crowded the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Jakarta roundabout area to celebrate New Year's Eve at the location of the crowd center, which is the favorite of the residents.
