YOGYAKARTA Jogja's free marriage program organized by the Sewon Religious Affairs Office (KUA), Bantul, Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Indonesian Forum Ta'aruf (Fortais) DIY is widely discussed. The reason is, not only providing free marriage programs, Fortais as one of the organizers also helps the community to find their match mate. Reporting from the website of the Ministry of Religion of Bantul Regency, a free marriage event was held to welcome 2025 and the 79th Ministry of Religion's Charity Day (HAB). This event was held in collaboration with the Ta'aruf Indonesia Forum (Fortais).

Please note, the Indonesian Forum Ta'aruf (Fortais) is a forum that can be used by the community for ta'aruf with serious relationship goals. Fortais was founded by Budi Nuryanto. Together with his team, Budi Nuryanto founded Fortais who has a program to bring together people who do not yet have a partner.

Regarding free marriage, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Bina Kepenhuluan of the Directorate of Bina KUA and the Sakinah Family of the Directorate General of Islamic Guidance at the Ministry of Religion, M. Afief Mundzir supports the program. According to him, this marriage program will help build sakinah families and make it easier for people who are constrained by costs but want to get married.

"This program is expected to help an underprivileged couple to have a decent marriage and encourage the creation of a harmonious family," said Afief Mundzir in Jakarta, quoted Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

He also considered that marriage registration for legality and legal protection for married couples needed to be socialized. He hopes that this program will continue as well as become a model for other KUA.

In the social media account Instagram Official for the FORTAIS account @kahaleng, the free marriage ceremony will be held on January 2-10, 2025. The event will be held at KUA Sewon which is located at Jl. Parangtritis Km 5.6, Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta.

Free mass marriage participants will get attractive facilities such as free dowry in the form of a set of prayer tools, wedding rings, makeup and wedding clothes, documentation, and aisle decorations.

Marriage with Fortais is also open to the public and can be held in all KUAs throughout Bantul Regency. The public can ask about the information regarding Marriage Together.
