JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto attended the D-8 Summit to represent Indonesia to receive the D-8 Chairship baton for the 2026-2027 period from Egypt, which currently holds the D-8 Chairship.

Apart from Indonesia, other countries that are members of D-8 include Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey. In addition to attending the D-8 Summit, President Prabowo will also hold bilateral meetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The President departed for Egypt from Jakarta at around 11.38 WIB through Halim Perdanakusama Air Force Base, Jakarta.
Previously, related to the presence of President Prabowo at the D-8 Summit, Monday (16/12), the Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rolliansyah Soemirat, confirmed the information.
