The KPK Believes That Megawati Is Pro Law Enforcement After Alluding To The Harun Masiku Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) believes that the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri is pro with law enforcement. His statement is ready to come to the KPK if PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto is dragged into the bribery case, Harun Masiku is said to be not a threat

"He thinks he is a statesman, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, the son of Bung Karno. I believe Megawati is pro with law enforcement," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 13.

Tessa said she had seen Megawati's statement in its entirety. "There is a narrative that says the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia threatens the KPK but it turns out that after I saw the video, it's not like that," he said.

Megawati Soekarnoputri previously admitted that she was ready to come to the KPK if Hasto Kristiyanto was arrested in connection with the bribery case in the interim replacement process (PAW) of DPR members who ensnared former PDIP candidate, Harun Masiku. This attitude was taken because Megawati felt responsible for the fate of her subordinates.

This was conveyed by Megawati at the launch of the book 'Pilpres 2024 Between Law, Ethics, and Psychological Considerations' by Todung Mulya Lubis in Jakarta, Thursday, December 12.

"I said, if Hasto was arrested I would come. I'm not lying. Why? I am the general chairman, responsible to my citizens, he is my secretary general," he said at the time.

Megawati also mentioned the handling of the Harun Masiku case. One of them is about Rossa Purbo Bekti who acts as an investigator in this case.

Rossa was highlighted by Megawati's appearance at that time. "Then I said, who is Rossa? He said this was the KPK, but the time to wear a mask, what is the name of the sing hat in front of me. Yes, after all? It means he himself is afraid because he is doing something wrong.
