Residents Call The Explosion At The Pertamina Pondok Bambu Gas Station Loudly Sounded, Buyers Escaped

JAKARTA - The explosion of the Pertamina gas station pump in Pondok Bambu, precisely on Jalan Pahlawan Revolution, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, sounded quite loud.

This was revealed by one of the beverage traders who was around the gas station where the explosion occurred.

"Earlier there was an explosion at the pump, where it was filled. The sound was tight," said Anang, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident, Thursday, December 12, evening.

Anang said, previously the situation of filling fuel at Pertamina gas stations was filled with consumers of cars and motorbikes.

"Previously there were those who filled (gasoline), those who filled them also fled. Because there was a fire," he said.

However, the explosion and sparks were successfully extinguished using an APAR device at the Pertamina gas station. The spark was successfully extinguished before it grew and spread.

"Fortunately there is a sprayer," he said.

Meanwhile, the victims of the gas station employee who became victims were immediately taken to the nearest clinic for intensive care.

The cause of the explosion in the fuel dispenser machine is not yet known. Duren Sawit Police is still investigating the explosion.
